RHOME / QUADRA is seeking a Buyer to support the day-to-day purchasing of furniture and décor across our staging and turnkey projects. This role is focused on the transactional buying process, including placing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring inventory is ordered and delivered on time to meet project needs.

Working closely with design, procurement, and warehouse teams, the Buyer plays a key execution role in maintaining inventory availability and supporting fast-paced installation schedules.

This role is best suited for someone highly detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple active purchase orders in a deadline-driven environment.

Location: NYC Remote + Office & Warehouse located in Secaucus, NJ (Hybrid)

Pay: $75,000–$90,000 per year (based on experience)

Job description:

RHOME / QUADRA, a leader in luxury staging and turnkey services within the high-end property market, is seeking a Buyer to support the execution of furniture and décor purchasing across our staging and rental inventory operations.

This role is primarily responsible for the day-to-day transactional purchasing process, ensuring inventory is ordered, tracked, and delivered on time to support active and upcoming projects. The Buyer plays a critical execution role—reacting to inventory needs, placing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to maintain product availability.

Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management (Core Function)

  • Place and manage purchase orders (POs) across furniture, décor, and staging inventory.
  • Track all orders from placement through delivery, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and timelines.
  • Confirm order details with suppliers and resolve discrepancies or changes as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all active and completed POs.

Supplier Coordination & Execution

  • Communicate daily with vendors to confirm availability, lead times, and fulfillment status.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms within established frameworks.
  • Escalate and resolve issues related to delays, substitutions, or damaged goods.
  • Ensure suppliers meet required timelines to support install schedules and client deadlines.

Inventory Availability Support

  • React to inventory needs flagged by design, operations, or warehouse teams.
  • Ensure product is available and ordered in time to meet project installation schedules.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment based on usage patterns and demand signals.
  • Support last-minute sourcing needs when required.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and design teams to ensure seamless execution from order to installation.
  • Align purchasing activity with project timelines and install schedules.
  • Communicate clearly on order status, risks, and delivery updates.

Accuracy & Data Maintenance

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records across systems and trackers.
  • Ensure pricing, vendor details, and order information are consistently up to date.
  • Support basic reporting on purchasing activity, order flow, and fulfillment status.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or procurement support (experience in furniture, interiors, retail, or hospitality preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active purchase orders at once.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills for daily vendor interaction and cross-team coordination.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability.
  • Experience with purchase order systems or inventory management tools is a plus.
  • Interest in interiors, furniture, or staging industries strongly preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid structure with on-site project work, office days, and remote days
