It’s this team that enables us to consistently deliver outstanding design and staging work, week after week and day after day. In this new series of team profiles, we’re excited to introduce the people behind the work— those who bring our design vision to life and make the spaces we create truly stand out.

We’re starting with some of our top design talent, and today we’re proud to introduce Manuel, one of our Senior Designers.

“Manuel is one of those rare designers who sees possibility in everything.” says Nicole Haworth, Quadra’s Design Director. “He brings a thoughtful, collaborative spirit and a uniquely creative eye to the Quadra team. He’s constantly reimagining how furniture can function and flow—coming up with unexpected, innovative ways to use pieces that make us all see a space differently. His easygoing presence and imaginative approach are a big part of what makes our studio culture so dynamic and inspiring.”

Now, let’s get to know Manuel a little better.

Name: Manuel Tortora

Role at Quadra: Senior Designer

What inspired you to work with interiors, furniture, and design?

I’ve always been fascinated by the power of design to tell a story—and that’s exactly what drew me to staging. I love transforming empty spaces into inviting, lived-in environments that help people instantly connect with a property. It’s a unique blend of creativity, psychology, and strategy. Seeing how the right furniture and styling choices can completely change the feel of a space—and ultimately help it sell—is what keeps me inspired every day.

Why did you choose Quadra, and what do you like most about working here?

I chose Quadra because it’s a recognized leader in the staging industry—known not just for high-quality design, but also for setting the standard in creativity, professionalism, and results. What really stood out to me was the company’s commitment to excellence and its collaborative culture. I love being part of a team that’s passionate, forward-thinking, and always pushing to raise the bar. Every project feels like an opportunity to grow and contribute to something that makes a real impact.

What is the most challenging project you’ve worked on? And which project has taught you the most?

One of the most challenging projects was staging a large luxury home in Brooklyn on a tight deadline—it pushed me to think fast, stay focused, and work seamlessly with the team. The project that taught me the most was a small apartment with a tricky layout. It showed me how smart styling and creative solutions can completely transform a space.

Favorite project?

One of my favorite projects was staging a modern penthouse in SoHo, my most recent project. It had incredible natural light, modern architecture, and clean, straight lines. It was exciting to highlight the property’s full potential using bold, contemporary pieces. It was a great opportunity to be creative while also thinking strategically about how to bring the space together.

What do you think makes Quadra unique in the industry?

Quadra stands out for its elevated design standards, attention to detail, and consistent ability to create spaces that truly connect with buyers. There’s a strong creative vision behind everything we do, backed by a collaborative team that works with precision and purpose. It’s that mix of style, strategy, and professionalism that really sets Quadra apart.

What is your greatest strength on the team?

I think my greatest strength is creativity. I really enjoy finding ways to bring a space to life and make it feel inviting. I also do my best to keep a positive vibe, especially during challenging moments during install time, to help keep the team motivated and focused.

What does turnkey luxury furniture rental mean to you?

To me, turnkey luxury means creating a beautiful, fully set-up space that’s ready to live in from the moment someone walks through the door. It’s perfect for people moving temporarily, because everything is done for them—they can just arrive and feel at home.

How would you describe your style in three words?

Eclectic, balanced, sophisticated.

Do you have a design icon or an aesthetic you always return to?

My style really depends on the architecture of the space and current trends—I like to stay flexible and respond to what each project needs. But overall, I’m always drawn to warm, modern minimalism with natural textures and clean lines. I also get a lot of inspiration from movies and design books—they’re great for sparking fresh ideas and seeing spaces through a different lens. And I love looking at what the talented designers on my team are doing—it’s inspiring to be surrounded by so much creativity.
