Manhattan Luxury Market Sees Post-Labor Day Surge with Quadra-Staged Townhouse Leading the Charge

According to The Real Deal, Manhattan’s luxury real estate market experienced a remarkable post-Labor Day boom, setting a new record for signed contracts on homes asking $4 million or more. Leading the surge is a standout property expertly staged by Quadra: the five-story limestone townhouse at 45 East 74th Street, which secured the priciest contract last week at $23.8 million. This 9,000-square-foot, six-bedroom, six-bathroom home, featuring four terraces, a basement swimming pool, and an elevator, was originally purchased by Chinese real estate billionaire Zhang Xin in 2013 for $26 million.

Quadra-Staged $23.8M Townhouse Secures Buyer After Re-Listing

This impressive sale highlights Quadra’s expertise in staging New York’s most exclusive homes. The property, listed by Corcoran’s Carrie Chiang, found a buyer after being re-listed following an earlier deal that fell through in April.

In total, 29 luxury homes entered into contract last week, with new developments comprising more than half of the deals, further emphasizing the strength of the Manhattan luxury market. For more details on this record-breaking week, read the full article on The Real Deal here.
