At Quadra, we believe that staging isn’t just about placing furniture in a space—it’s about creating an atmosphere that resonates with buyers, sparking an emotional connection that turns interest into action. Nowhere is that more evident than at 166 Perry Street, Apartment 1C, where our staging led to a signed contract after the very first round of showings.
166 Perry Street 1C: A Standout in a Competitive New York Market
Situated in one of West Village’s most coveted boutique condominiums, 166 Perry Street 1C was surrounded by comparable units—same building, similar size, same price range. Yet, while those properties remain on the market, this one sold immediately. Though the property was officially in contract after a month, the reality is that the deal was secured within days of listing.
What made this unit stand out while others lingered?
Staging with a Purpose: Selling the Property
At Quadra, our focus isn’t on selling the furniture we use in our staging projects. It isn’t about pushing a particular design aesthetic. And it certainly isn’t just about making a space look “nice.”
Our approach is laser-focused on one goal:
Selling the home as quickly as possible for the highest possible price.
With 166 Perry Street 1C, we curated a design that maximized the apartment’s modern elegance and light-filled layout, creating an aspirational yet approachable environment. Buyers didn’t just see a space—they saw themselves living in it. This emotional connection is what drives urgency, competition, and, ultimately, fast and successful sales.
Why? The Difference Was in the Staging
This transformation wasn’t accidental—it was the result of an excellent collaboration between Adrian Radomski at Compass and Quadra. Adrian understands the undeniable impact of staging in today’s competitive market. How the right design choices don’t just enhance a space but elevate its marketability, creating an emotional pull that drives buyers to act fast.
At Quadra, we took inspiration from the apartment’s soaring ceilings, full-length windows, and natural textures to craft a design that felt both timeless and inviting. As our lead designer on this property, Mantha Norton explains:
“The high ceilings, full-length windows, and natural textures at 166 Perry Street inspired us to embrace a warm color palette to complement the unique interior. The seagrass walls and rich wood shelving called for a modern design with clean lines and mixed materials. The design blends mid-century modern and contemporary elements to create a collected yet refined space. Each piece was carefully selected, resulting in a timeless aesthetic that is both curated and approachable. Using a limited color palette of browns, terracottas, and neutrals, we transformed the space into a cozy respite from the lively West Village streets.”
This thoughtful, strategic approach ensured that the apartment stood out immediately, making a lasting impression on buyers from the very first showing. The result?
A contract is secured in record time, proving once again that the impact speaks for itself when staging is done right.
The Quadra Effect: Market-Proven Results
What makes this sale so compelling is the clear, measurable impact of staging. In a market where buyers have plenty of options—including both staged and unstaged properties in the same building that are still available—166 Perry Street 1C stood out and sold immediately.
This isn’t a coincidence. This is our staging strategy.
At Quadra, we stage homes with a deep understanding of what drives buyer decisions, blending design with psychology to create an environment that converts interest into action.
166 Perry Street 1C is proof that the right staging doesn’t just enhance a home—it sells it.
